Notes on the usage of LSR.EXE
Most of the LSR.EXE options selected from the main menu are easily
understood. Option 17 - Life Span Revolution calculations -
requires some additional information. After selecting option 17:
a). Enter the age of the event you want to investigate.
b). Enter the rate of progression in degrees per year. Entering a
value of 1 gives primary directions for the Sun, Moon, Ascendant,
and Midheaven. Hitting just <ENTER> starts the life span
revolution calculations at a rate of 4.5 degrees per year.
Entering any other number sets the rate at that many degrees per
year.
c). If you entered any number other than 1, you go into the life
span revolution calculations. Move the mouse cursor to any planet
under any column, click the left mouse button, and see how the
MC's and ASC's change in order for that selected planet to be the
number of degrees shown under the ASPECT heading at the right side
of the screen away from the angle listed at the top of your chosen
column. Conjunctions (0 degrees) are the most important. See how
your rate of progression shown on line 2 of the screen changes as
you put different planets conjunct the MC or ASC.?
To change the aspect to a sextile, trine or whatever instead of a
conjunction, simply move the mouse cursor to an angle listed at
the bottom of the screen, and click the left mouse button. Notice
how that number of degrees appears under the heading ASPECT at the
right of the screen. Repeat starting at step c). above to analyze
how the MC's and ASC's change when a selected planet is that
number of degrees from said angle (direct or converse angle).
To change the age of the event, simply move the mouse cursor to
the top line and click the left mouse button. Then repeat all
steps starting with step a).
Click the right mouse button at any time in order to return to the
main menu.
d). If you entered a 1 for the rate of progression, then the
program will calculate the primary directions (direct and
converse) for the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and MC. Follow the
directions at the bottom of the screen to interpret what you are
viewing.
I hope this makes your experimentation easier. If you are unsure
of anything, don't feel afraid to experiment through trial and
error. You can't hurt anything by doing so. Call me at (708) 593 -
5327 if you need my help.
